Judge denies request to remove Springer's GPS

LOS ANGELES

Second-grade teacher Martin Springer is accused of fondling a girl in his classroom three years ago. He was released on bail Friday.

A judge denied a request by Martin Springer's attorney to have a GPS monitoring device taken off.

Springer is allowed to leave his house, but has to stay at least 250 feet away from any park. He is also not allowed to be in the company of minors or contact any of his alleged victims.

Springer has been ordered to return to court on April 16.
