The Los Angeles Unified School District confirmed Friday that a teacher at the school was removed from his classroom due to unspecified allegations.
The LAUSD, which sent students home with a letter about the investigation, "is working with law enforcement and at its direction cannot disclose the details at this time," according to a district statement released Friday afternoon.
"Crisis counselors and psychiatric social workers are available to work with students that might be impacted by the removal of the teacher," the statement says. "The district takes each and every reported act of misconduct seriously. We are committed to aggressively pursuing each case to determine the truth and, if necessary, initiate the appropriate disciplinary measures."
