Tom Hardy showed his romantic side to OnTheRedCarpet.com at the premiere of his 2012 film "This Means War."
Hardy, 34, stars in the action comedy film with Reese Witherspoon and Chris Pine. The actors play two CIA agents who are best friends fighting over the same woman, played by Witherspoon. The agents wage an epic battle against one another while Witherspoon's character tries to determine who's a better match for her.
The actor, known for his role in the 2010 thriller "Inception," admitted that he has never fought for a woman's affection like his character in the film.
"Nothing so exciting," Hardy told OnTheRedCarpet.com's Tony Cabrera. "It's just I haven't found myself in that position yet - and I'm grateful not to."
"I would do pretty much anything for my girl," Hardy added. "I'm not really sure I'm very romantic in that sense of the word - I try to be as honest as possible, and accept my mistakes and my follies. Romance is hard work, isn't it? Relationships are hard work."
Hardy became engaged to fiance Charlotte Riley in 2010. He brought her to the UK premiere of "This Means War" in London. Witherspoon appeared at the event in a sparkling, emerald green dress (See photos). Pine and actress Bridget Moynahan appeared at the UK premiere as well.
Hardy is gearing up for his next big film, "The Dark Knight Rises" where he will play the title villain Bane. He is an escaped convict who gains superhuman strength due to a series of drug experiments.
Hardy will appear alongside Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the superhero flick, set for release July 20, 2012.
