Fundraiser for Hollywood shooting and fire victims

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES

Friends began accepting donations for the victims Sunday. They are asking for men's and women's clothing, food, and personal care items. They're also searching for long-term housing, as one of the three survivors is expected to get out of the hospital soon.

Friend Katie McCall said one of the victims is recovering and is alert.

"Laurel seems to be pretty stable and we're hoping that she gets out relatively quickly, she doesn't like being there, that's for sure," McCall said. "She's Facebooking and she's interacting with people from her hospital room."

A website has been set up to help the victims with donations.

Police identified the gunman as the ex-boyfriend of one of the women who lived in the home. The gunman barged into the home Thursday and shot four people inside before setting the home on fire and killing himself. One shooting victim died and three, including the gunman's ex-girlfriend, remain in the hospital.
