ESPN employees punished for Jeremy Lin phrase

NEW YORK

The headline phrase included a word which can be used as a slur against Chinese people. Lin was born in the United States but is of Taiwanese descent.

ESPN has apologized, and while many fans are still upset about the comment, Lin said he's moved on from the issue.

"I don't think it was on purpose or whatever, but at the same time, they've apologized and so, from my end, I don't care anymore. I have to learn to forgive, and I don't even think that was intentional. Hopefully not," Lin said.

Also, an anchor has been suspended for 30 days after using the same phrase. A commentator on ESPN radio New York also used the phrase, but the company says that person is not an ESPN employee.
