Bethenny Frankel stopped by "The Today Show" on February 20 to talk about the upcoming premiere of the third season of her reality show "Bethenny Ever After," and discussed a recent miscarriage.
Frankel, who came to fame by starring on "The Real Housewives of New York" for three seasons, revealed she was recently pregnant for eight weeks before she had a miscarriage.
"We were pregnant with a second baby, and at eight weeks, I miscarried," Frankel, 41, said in her interview, which can be seen below. "That was a very emotional experience."
Frankel married Jason Hoppy in 2010 and gave birth to their daughter Bryn in May 2010. The couple's wedding and Frankel's pregnancy was documented on the show "Bethenny Getting Married?"
"Until you become a woman, you don't know the things that come with it," she added. Frankel said it was very recent and did not happen while filming the third season of her show.
"I have thought about other women more than myself," she said. "I can't believe what people go through if they can't even have the one."
"You go through a roller coaster of emotions about it," she added. "About your age, about being a woman, about can you have another baby, about are you a failure to your partner, about what if my husband married someone younger, you go through a million different things."
Frankel, who has developed a line of cocktail beverages under the Skinnygirl brand, is also New York Times best-selling author with diet and self-help books like "A Place of Yes" and the Skinnygirl chef recently signed a three-book fiction deal with Touchstone Fireside and is set to release her first fiction book called "Skinny Dipping" next spring.
"Bethenny Ever After" premieres on February 20 at 9 p.m. on Bravo. Check out Frankel's interview below.
