Minnie Driver has kept quiet about the father of her 3-year-old son Henry Story Driver, since she became pregnant in 2008.

However, in a new interview, the 42-year-old actress revealed a few details about the man's identity, including the fact that he was an episode writer on her television series "The Riches," which ran from 2007 to 2008.

"We weren't together and he wasn't directly in the business," the actress told the U.K. outlet The Observer. "So I chose to protect him and not have a rain of publicity."

"I know, but it's ridiculous. He's not famous. There's no big story," she added. The actress does not give away his name in the interview.

Driver went on to say, "I don't need to protect him anymore. He can fend for himself. He's a grown-up."

As far as his relationship with Henry, Driver said, "He's figuring it out... I mean, he hasn't been that involved; his choice. But he is now."

Driver and her son can be seen visiting Disneyland in June 2011 here. Her spokesperson had no immediate comment on the report.

In the past, Driver has been romantically linked to Matt Damon, Josh Brolin, Harrison Ford, John Cusack and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

The English actress was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the 1997 film "Good Will Hunting," as well as for an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe for her work in "The Riches."

Driver was promoting her latest film, "Hunky Dory," a musical film set in 1976. Driver stars as a drama teacher who tries to put on a production of a musical version of the Shakespearian play "The Tempest." The film does not currently have a release date for the United States.

The actress also admitted she would love to guest star on "Glee" but Gwyneth Paltrow beat her to the punch.

"Oh, I've been trying to get on that show since, well... God knows. I know, I'm not scared to say it! Gwyneth Paltrow completely stole my thunder," Driver said. Paltrow guest-starred on three episodes of the musical television series in 2011.

Driver also has a recurring role on Lisa Kudrow's online series "Web Therapy."
