The Rev. Cory Brooks vowed to remain in his tent on the roof of an abandoned Chicago hotel until he raised $450,000.
That's how much money is needed to buy and tear down the building, which Brooks says is a haven for drugs, prostitution and violence.
Perry heard about Brooks' cause and pledged to give him $98,000. His donation put Brooks over the top for his fundraiser.
He came down from the roof Friday night after being up there for 94 days.
