Jimmy Kimmel says he was "bowled over" by Oprah Winfrey, who will appear on his special post-Oscars show after the 2012 Academy Awards on Sunday, February 26.
Kimmel, host of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" has often joked about Winfrey throughout her time as the host of "The Oprah Winfrey Show," which ended in 2011 after some 25 years. She launched her own cable channel, OWN, in January.
"You see people on television and you think, 'Oh, well, that's what they are on television,' and then you meet them and you're like, 'Oh my god, not only is she as good as on television, she's actually better than on television,'" he told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "I'm serious. I have to say, I was bowled over by Oprah. I really was."
Kimmel also joked that Oprah might give everyone a car. She once provided such a prize to audience members of "The Oprah Winfrey Show."
Kimmel's post-Oscar show will also include a sketch based on the biggest movie ever made, called "Movie: The Movie." Several of this year's nominees, including George Clooney and Meryl Streep, appear in it.
"'Movie: The Movie' is a celebration of life, it's a celebration of laughter, it's a celebration of actors who frankly don't get celebrated enough," Clooney says in the clip."Jimmy Kimmel Live!" also spurred the infamous star-studded "I'm (Expletive) Ben Affleck" and "I'm (Expletive) Matt Damon" music videos, which became viral sensations.
