Actress Sean Young was arrested at the Governors Ball following the 84th Academy Awards, OnTheRedCarpet.com has confirmed.
Los Angeles police said Young, 52, was placed under citizen's arrest for alleged battery after an altercation at the Oscar after-party. The circumstances surrounding the confrontation were not immediately known. Young has since been released.
Young's career skyrocketed in the 1980s with roles in "Stripes," "Blade Runner" and "Wall Street."
Her last major role on film was in "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" as Lois Einhorn, the film's villain. Since then she's appeared in several made-for-TV films and has had guest roles on several television series, including "The Young and the Restless."
She has also appeared in several reality series like "Gone Country 2" and "Skating With The Stars." Young checked herself in to rehab in January 2008 following an outburst at the Director Guild of America Awards, where she heckled "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" director Julian Schnabel on stage while he was accepting an award for Best Director.
Young later appeared on "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew" in 2011 alongside Amy Fisher and Michael Lohan.
