Anaheim residents protest tax incentives for hotel developers

ANAHEIM, Calif.

Demonstrators and community activists turned out in force at City Hall Tuesday, demanding the city rescind incentives given to GardenWalk hotels to build new luxury facilities.

They're asking city leaders to put the issue before voters first. Some are gathering signatures to try and force a ballot referendum.

One councilwoman said a public vote will be discussed at next week's meeting, but it would likely only affect future tax incentives.
