On both social networks, the singer posted a missing person poster of 21-year-old Franco Garcia of Newton, Mass.
Garcia has been missing since he left a popular local bar on Feb. 22.
Springsteen Springsteen tweeted a request for anyone with information about the case to call the Newton Police Department.
The rocker's son also attends Boston College.
Meanwhile, state police divers continued a search for Garcia at a Chestnut Hill reservoir, but turned up nothing. They also searched Garcia's home for clues on where he might be.
