Kanye West debuted his fashion line DW by Kanye West during the Fall 2011 Paris fashion week, but while the clothes were critically panned, the footwear was praised.
Now the rapper's stiletto sandals, which are constructed of calf leather and embroidered pearls and were designed by Giuseppe Zanotti specifically for his runway show, have gone on sale on Colette Paris' website for a cool 4,420 Euros, which converts to roughly $5,888.
West also collaborated with French fashion house Louis Vuitton. He will return to the Paris Fashion Week runway on March 6 with his Fall/Winter 2012 collection, according to Women's Wear Daily.
West made headlines in August for saying that he sometimes feels misunderstood and that people think of him as Hitler.
"I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I'm (expletive) insane, like I'm Hitler," the 34-year-old rapper said at the U.K.'s Big Chill music festival, according to the Associated Press.
West is known for his outspokenness, most notably when he went onstage at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for best female video and said Beyonce should have won instead. He also stirred controversy in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 when he said "George Bush doesn't care about black people."
