Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa are engaged!
Khalifa, a 24-year-old rapper who is likely best known for his single "Black and Yellow," proposed to Rose and announced the news on his official Twitter page.
Rose, a 28-year-old model, Tweeted on March 1 with a photo of the engagement ring, "He has made me the Happiest Woman in the World!!!!"
"She Said Yes," Khalifa Tweeted on his own account.
Rose previously dated rapper Kanye West on and off between 2008 and 2010. She made headlines in January when she called Kim Kardashian a "homewrecker" and claimed the reality star was one of the "main reasons" for her breakup with Kanye West.
She later said she regretted making that statement. "I feel bad for calling her a homewrecker, even though what happened in the situation," Rose said in an interview on the New York radio station Power 105.1 "I'm all about women empowerment and I feel like I stooped down to her level by calling her a homewrecker. I didn't want to do that."
Rose released her debut single, "Fame," which features Khalifa, on January 11. (Listen to it here on his website - warning: post contains explicit language).
"I brought my music to Wiz and he was just like, 'Babe, you can do this, you can really, really do this,'" she said during the radio interview. "I asked him and I was like, 'Listen, if I suck, don't tell me that I'm good because you love me.'"
Mr. Krabby Patty
Rose and Khalifa began dating in late 2010 and stepped out publicly together in Los Angeles around December of that year. She talked about their first date in a promotional interview for "Fame," as seen in this YouTube video, which was posted in January 2012.
"We actually went out running and then we went to Mel's Diner," she said, adding that they ate turkey burgers.
"It was like, realy cute. But I knew that I liked him."
Rose said she brought along to their date a guest, who would end up becoming a member of their family.
I was just walking down the street in Hollywood and it was a little Mr. Krabby Patty stuffed animal, cos there's a little crab frm "SpongeBob [Squarepants]} and I thought it was cute so I brought it for him and I brought it to the date and that day he fell in love with me ... to this day, Mr Krabby Patty, every time we make the bed, he sits right in the middle of our bed. He's our son now."
In addition to "Fame," the model said she has several more songs in the works.
"It's a lot of, like, dance music," she said in her interview with Power 105.1. "I'm working with a few different guys. No one, like, really, really big right now. But I've been getting a lot of phone calls by a lot of great producers who want to work with me."
