David Perry, 43, is being held on $1 million bail.
On Friday night, police found the body of Dorothy Jean McGuire of Tujunga in front of Perry's home on North Sparks Street.
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating her death.
They said they believe the 37-year-old woman died of foul play along La Tuna Canyon Road near the 210 Freeway and then was driven to Burbank, where her body was found.
