Authorities said the driver intentionally tried to run over another person as he headed south on Towne Avenue near 5th Street early Sunday morning. But his car went up the sidewalk instead and hit the 51-year-old woman.
The suspect is believed to be in his early 30s. He was seen driving a 1998 to 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix or Grand Am.
