Carjack victim found shot in desert; 2 suspects sought

LANCASTER, Calif.

The victim is a 24-year-old Palmdale man. A passer-by found him shortly after 12 p.m.

Firefighters said they found the man with a gunshot wound to the head. He was still conscious and breathing and was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment. It's not clear how long he was out there in the desert, or when he was carjacked.

The victim is stable and is expected to survive. Detectives believe the two carjackers may be driving the victim's charcoal gray, four-door 2010 Toyota Camry, license plate 6JPX870.
