OTRC: Heidi Klum opens up about going through a divorce

Heidi Klum has broken her silence and gets candid in a new interview about her divorce from singer Seal and the media attention.

The former model and "Project Runway" host appears in the April issue of Elle magazine and says, "I feel like I'm in the eye of the tornado."

"It's emotions inside of your body that are a tornado. And then the outside world doing all this craziness -- with you wanting it or not wanting it -- is another tornado," she added.

Klum and Seal announced on January 23 that they had decided to separate and end their nearly seven-year marriage.

The "Project Runway" host and "Kiss from a Rose" singer got married May 10, 2005 and have three biological children together, Henry Gunther, 6, Johan Riley, 5, and Lou, 2. Seal also adopted Klum's 7-year-old daughter, Leni, from her previous relationship with Flavio Briatore. Klum was previously married to celebrity hairstylist Ric Pipino.

Klum stays tight lipped about what went wrong in the marriage. "To the outside world, you don't really share all the things that happen. You kind of share just the most amazing sides," she said. "But I don't really want to get into any of that stuff. With my life, my family, my business -- I want to go forward."

"People don't need to know who did what," Klum added. "I don't want to talk positively or negatively about the ups and downs that we had. Every couple goes through things. Unfortunately, we're in the public, so the highs are out there."

Seal talked about the dissolution of their marriage while promoting his most recent album "Soul 2."

During an appearance on "The Elle DeGeneres Show" in January, the singer said, "I think we made it clear in the release statement. You just grow apart after a while."

"I mean, you try and you work through it and the thing that you quickly realize as ... when you are married and you are a parent, is that you do the best that you can," he added. "It makes you actually appreciate your parents a lot more."
