A hiker was finally rescued after she spent three weeks stranded in the Gila National Forest.

Rescue crews found Margaret Page on Wednesday. Page said she ran out of food about a week ago and was drinking water from a nearby creek.

The 41-year-old was barely able to speak and lost a third of her body weight.

Page's cat stuck by her side throughout the entire ordeal, even as rescuers carried her down the mountain.

Police are trying to figure out why a search wasn't launched until two weeks after Page's family reported her missing.
