Madsen, 54, was arrested at 2:15 p.m. due to allegations of physical abuse.
Patrol deputies were called to a Malibu residence by a report of a family disturbance.
Madsen apparently appeared under the influence of alcohol, according to the department, and allegedly got into a physical altercation with his teenage son.
The department said medical attention was not necessary for Madsen's son.
Madsen was arrested and booked at the Lost Hills Sheriff's Station and was held on $100,000.
