The first topic he will probe will be the price of gas. Our region pays some of the highest prices in the country. A new report to be released Monday will detail just how much our dependence on foreign oil has changed. If domestic oil production has gone up, why hasn't the price gone down?
Another topic to be discussed will be the economy, specifically jobs. The unemployment rate has dropped in California to below 11 percent for the first time in three years. However, at 10.9 percent, it's still high. Brown will ask the president what it will take to bring down the unemployment rate even further.
Brown's live reports from Washington begin at 4 p.m. Monday on Eyewitness News.
