IKEA gives free coffee for daylight saving time

March 12, 2012 12:00:00 AM PDT
IKEA helped workers get through the first day of the time change on Monday by giving away a free jolt of caffeine.

The furniture chain handed out free coffee to commuters in four local cities: Rancho Cucamonga, Long Beach, Burbank and Costa Mesa.

The giveaways were set to take place in high commuter traffic areas, such as Metro and train stations, not in actual IKEA retail stores.

The coffee giveaway is part of IKEA's "Random Acts of Life Improvement" campaign.

Coffee was expected to be given out at the following Los Angeles metropolitan areas:

Rancho Cucamonga Metrolink Station (6:30 a.m. - 8 a.m.)
11208 Azusa Ct.
Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Long Beach (7 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.)
Ocean Boulevard and Redondo Avenue

Burbank (Time TBD - Check Twitter @IKEA_LA_OC for details)
201 South Front Street
Burbank, CA

Costa Mesa (Time TBD - Check Twitter @IKEA_LA_OC for details)
