Is Karina Smirnoff, a cast member on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars," dating actor Owen Wilson?
The tabloid Life & Style recently quoted "insiders" as saying that the two have "been out a few times" and are "totally into each other." However, a source close to the matter told OnTheRedCarpet.com that the report is untrue.
Smirnoff, 34, and Wilson, 43, have not commented. The report comes days before the season 14 premiere of "Dancing With The Stars," which is set to air on ABC on Monday, March 19, at 8 p.m. ET.
E! News quoted a source close to Smirnoff as saying that the two "ran into each other once randomly," adding: "They are friends but not dating at all."
Wilson was last linked to a woman named Jade Duell, who gave birth to his first child, a boy, in Hawaii in January 2011. The following June, online reports said the two ended their relationship. They have not commented about the matter.
Smirnoff, a native of Ukraine, had confirmed in December 2011 that she had called off her plans to wed baseball player Brad Penny. The two began dating in October 2009 and became engaged a year later.
Smirnoff won the previous 13th season of "Dancing With The Stars" with partner J.R. Martinez, a soap star and Iraq War veteran, earning her first Mirror Ball Trophy (check out photos of Karina Smirnoff on "Dancing With The Stars" throughout the past couple of years).
This season, Smirnoff is paired with singer Gavin DeGraw.
Check out a video of the two showing off their dance moves together behind the scenes as well as photos of them and the other members of the cast at their rehearsals. This season's crop of celebrity contestants includes Jaleel White, who played Steve Urkel on the show "Family Matters," and "Little House on the Prairie" star Melissa Gilbert.
