All three robberies took place on March 11 at fast food restaurants within a one-hour period.
The first /*robbery*/ occurred at about 7:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Crenshaw Boulevard near Washington Boulevard. About 45 minutes later, the suspect committed another holdup in the 3100 block of South Sepulveda Boulevard near National Boulevard. And about 35 minutes after the second robbery, he hit another restaurant in the 11000 block of Pico Boulevard.
In each incident, officials said the suspect presented a note saying he was armed and demanded cash. Police said he made verbal threats against at least one employee.
He's being dubbed the "Black Hooded Note Bandit" because he wore a black hooded sweatshirt and used notes to carry out his holdups.
The suspect is between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs between 140 and 160 pounds. He also wore dark colored gloves.
