It looks like viewers will be treated to another season of fist pumping, gym, tan and laundry from the cast of "Jersey Shore," including soon-to-be mom Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi.
MTV, the network that runs the popular reality program, announced on March 19 that it has picked up the series for a sixth season and that all the cast members will return. The new season will film in the show's original location of Seaside Heights, New Jersey.
"While things will definitely be a little different this time when they hit the boardwalk, their trademark hilarity and family dysfunction will remain the same," MTV's statement said.
It is unclear if Polizzi will be living in the house with her fellow cast members. When asked by Us Weekly after she first announced her pregnancy what would happen if "Jersey Shore" was renewed, Polizzi said, "If anything, I'll visit the shore."
"I'm not living in that house pregnant. I don't want to be one of those moms who's pregnant in a club," she added. "It's disgusting."
Polizzi announced her pregnancy on March 7. She is also engaged to the baby's father, boyfriend Jionni LaValle
"Jersey Shore," which depicts the lives of party-loving, self-proclaimed "Guidos and Guidettes" and is one of the top-rated cable programs, just ended its fifth season. Polizzi is filming a spin-off show with cast member Jenni "JWoww" Farley.
The premiere dates for the sixth season of "Jersey Shore" and Polizzi and Farley's spin-off have not been announced. "Jersey Shore" star Paul "Pauly D" Delvecchio also headlines a new show called "The Pauly D Project." It debuts on MTV on March 29.
