Jessica Alba is set to become an author with the release of her first book titled "The Honest Life."
The book is a how-to handbook based on her company's mission for having non-toxic products in the home and living a more natural life.
The 30-year-old told People magazine on March 19, "I'm not extreme. This book is for people who are in the middle but want to create a healthier life, like me."
The actress launched The Honest Company with business partner and co-author Christopher Gavigan, who is married to actress Jessica Capshaw, on January 17. The company sells eco-friendly and toxic free family products.
Honest.com, which is named after the actress' 3-year-old daughter Honor, will offer monthly prescription packages for products like diapers, shampoo and laundry detergent.
The book will also go into detail about Alba's life as a mother to two daughters, Honor and 7-month-old Haven. The book will also include Alba's favorite family recipes.
"Everything in this book will be something meaningful that I've incorporated into our lives," Alba told People. "I wanted some kind of handbook with all the information I was consuming so I could apply it in a practical way."
Alba welcomed her second daughter Haven with husband Cash Warren in August. She and Warren, a 32-year-old producer, married in May 2008.
"The Honest Life" is set for release in early 2013. Check out Alba talking about her company below.
