Miley Cyrus has laughed off rumors that she is engaged to boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.
"I'm not engaged," Cyrus wrote on Twitter on March 26. "I've worn this same ring on this finger since November! People just wanna find something to tal [sic] about! It's a topaz people!"
The actress sparked engagement rumors after posting a photo of her new manicure with a prominent sparkler on her ring finger. Topaz is the birth stone of Cyrus, who turned 19 on November 23.
Cyrus was also seen sporting the large stone as she and Hemsworth walked the red carpet on Saturday, March 24 for Muhammad Ali's Celebrity Fight Night XIII.
The actress/singer has been dating the "Hunger Games" actor on-and-off for over two years. Hemsworth attended the premiere of his new film with Cyrus, who was his co-star in the 2010 movie "The Last Song."
At the premiere, E! Online asked Cyrus about what the couple does in their alone time. She said, "We have three dogs, so that takes up most of our time... The only time we leave the house is to go to the pet store or the park."
OK magazine reported that Hemsworth is ready to propose to the former "Hannah Montana" star and that the pair have "seriously" talked about marriage.
In his new film, which had the third biggest opening of all time after earning $155 million over the weekend, the 22-year-old Australian actor plays Gale Hawthorne, the best friend of heroine Katniss Everdeen, portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence. In "The Hunger Games," Everdeen lives in a post-apocalyptic future where a boy and girl from various districts are chosen and taken to a massive area where they must survive and fight to death.
Hemsworth recently laughed off rumors that his girlfriend Miley Cyrus is jealous of his "Hunger Games" fame. The actor is just getting used to the fan frenzy but told "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" that Cyrus is happy for him.
"She's one of the biggest stars in the world, there's no shadowing her," Hemsworth told Seacrest. "She embraces it, she's very very happy for me. I've had a few marriage proposals from 12 year old girls! It's really an awkward question to get a marriage proposal from someone you don't know at all, and who doesn't know you!"
