Kate Winslet turned heads in an elegant gown at the recent premiere of "Titanic 3D" in London.

The 36-year-old British actress showcased a regal look, sporting a black, full-length, silk crepe Jenny Packham gown at the event on Tuesday, March 27. The dress featured a plunging neckline, Swarovski crystal cap sleeves and waist embellishment and is inspired by the designer's Fall 2012 Film Noir collection. She completed her look with silver jewelry, pink lips and a classy wavy updo.

Winslet's performance as Rose, the love interest of Leonardo DiCaprio's Jack, in the Oscar-winning disaster film "Titanic" marked her breakout role and earned her an Academy Award nomination. She won her first Oscar in 2009 for her role in the movie "The Reader." It marked her six nod.

Winslet is also known for her roles in films such as "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," "Finding Neverland" and "Revolutionary Road," which also earned her an Oscar nod and reunited her with DiCaprio. The movie was directed by her then-husband, Sam Mendes.

The actress also won an Emmy Award for her role in the 2011 miniseries "Mildred Pierce" and was nominated for one in 2006 for playing herself in Ricky Gervais' comedy series "Extras."

In 2011, Winslet appeared in "Carnage," opposite Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz, Jodie Foster and John C. Reilly, and the disaster thriller "Contagion" alongside Matt Damon, Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltrow.

The actress is slated to appear in the 2012 comedy montage "Movie 43" as well as the deeper Kenneth Branagh film "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" in 2013. "Titanic 3D" is set for release on April 4. The timing coincides with the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the famous ship. The disaster occurred on April 15, 1912.

The original "Titanic" won 11 Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director for James Cameron, but none for acting. The movie also earned four Golden Globe Awards.

Billy Zane, who played Rose's jealous boyfriend, and Cameron also appeared at the "Titanic 3D" premiere. The ocean enthusiast, who also directed "Avatar," recently traveled to the bottom of the South Pacific's Mariana Trench, Earth's deepest point. He used a specially designed submarine called "Deepsea Challenger" to dive nearly seven miles as part of a National Geographic Society project.
