7 Palmdale teens arrested for alleged hate crime

PALMDALE, Calif.

The boys, ages 13 to 16, were arrested on Wednesday for attacking a 15-year-old Hispanic boy. The video showed at least 10 suspects making racially derogatory statements and beating the teen until he fell to the ground on March 14.

After the victim fell to the ground, the assailants kicked him multiple times in the head, knocked out several teeth and left shoe impressions on his skin, according to L.A. County Sheriff's Lt. Don Ford.

The victim was able to get to his feet and escape. The video, which YouTube has since removed from its website, was discovered by a Palmdale sheriff's deputy.

The attack happened near Cactus Middle School in the 3200 block of East Avenue R-8 as the victim was walking home. Sheriff's officials did not say whether the teens involved were students at Cactus.

Police are still looking for three more suspects. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
