Megan Fox took to her official Facebook account to address a quote of hers from an interview she gave with French magazine Jalouse published in its April 2012 issue.
In the interview she reportedly said, according to Us Weekly, "I live well with my image. I cannot complain. I wouldn't trade places with an ugly girl."
The 25-year-old actress told her Facebook fans on March 30, "The actual comment, the context and it's intention are grossly distorted and misrepresented here."
"I gave this interview in English obviously, it was then translated to French and now back into English," she added. "I've never made vapid self serving comments and in contradiction am uncontrollably self deprecating."
The actress, who recently appeared in the film "Friends With Kids," appeared on the cover of the magazine.
Fox recently filmed "The Dictator," which stars character actor Sacha Baron Cohen. He also played the character on the red carpet of the 2012 Oscars and tossed fake ashes, which he said were the remains of Kim Jong-il, on E! News host Ryan Seacrest. The movie is set for release on May 11.
The actress, who has been married to Brian Austin Green of "Beverly Hills, 90210" since 2010, has not addressed rumors that the couple are expecting their first child together. Green has a son, Kassius, from a previous relationship with "General Hospital" star Vanessa Marcil.
