It was an emotional night on "Dancing With The Stars" with each contestant following the theme of "The Most Memorable Year of My Life." However, although rumors of a fight between Jaleel White partner Kym Johnson and Mark Ballas surfaced just before the night's show, the two partners insist "We're fine."
It was reported by Us Weekly that during a rehearsal on March 30, White stepped on Johnson's toe and he and Johnson got into a "heated confrontation" which later reportedly involved Mark Ballas and the show's producers. The series did not feature any footage of the alleged argument during the night's episode.
"This show is so stressful. Everyone has hard weeks but, you know, things get blown out of proportion as well in the news and stuff like that," Johnson, 35, told OnTheRedCarpet.com correspondent George Pennacchio on April 2, after the show. "The thing is, we're a great team."
"The tabloids enjoy having fun with this show," White said. "I've never had that be a part of my life or my career so I'm just asking people to roll with it."
White and Johnson scored a 25 out of 30 for their dance, a Rumba that focused on the moment he played Steve Urkel's smooth and suave alter-ego Stefan Urquelle.
"I hope people, you know, just saw the dance and really saw that's we're really great and good together," Johnson added.
White said, "We're fine. It's just -- again, you see the tightness of the scores. It's tense back there."
"Everyone has tough weeks, not so tough weeks, maybe it was more of a tough week but we're fine. We're great friends," Johnson said.
The two joked about how they even got manicures together recently.
Katherine Jenkins and William Levy nabbed the highest scores of the night while Jack Wagner, Gladys Knight, Gavin DeGraw, Sherri Shepherd and Melissa Gilbert all tie at the bottom with 24 out of 30.
