Ryan Gosling's heroics on and off screen have been noted in the past, like the time he broke up a street fight. It seems like Gosling has jumped in to action again, this time saving a woman in New York from getting hit by a car.
Laurie Penny, a British journalist who writes for the publication New Statesman, Tweeted on April 3, "I was crossing 6th avenue in a new pink wig. Not looking the right way because I am from London. Ryan Gosling grabbed me away from a taxi."
"I literally, LITERALLY just got saved from a car by Ryan Gosling. Literally," she added. "That actually just happened.
Penny later said that a woman next to her confirmed that it was the "Drive" actor, "Confirmed by girl near me, who said 'you lucky bitch.'"
Penny wrote about the incident on the media site Gawker. "I am grateful to the dashing and meme-worthy Mr. Gosling, just as I am grateful to every other kind New Yorker who has saved me from oncoming traffic in recent weeks," she wrote. "Good citizens making the streets of this fine city that much safer for random British writers who can't remember to look both ways."
Spokespeople for the "Ides of March" actor have not confirmed that Gosling did interact with Penny or if he was even in New York at the time of the incident. The actor recently finished filming "The Gangster Squad" with Emma Stone and is currently filming "Only God Forgives" with Kristin Scott Thomas.
