The accident in the East Los Angeles area forced the complete closure of the connector for over an hour as crews safely removed the truck.
After the truck was brought back onto the freeway, authorities had to transfer the money out of the damaged truck and into a new armored vehicle before the truck was cleared from the scene.
Caltrans stayed on scene to repair the damaged guardrail, but officials were able to reopen a lane of traffic. Seventh Street below the incident was closed due to bridge debris and fluids from the accident.
