Jury selection was set to begin Monday in the trial of a man accused of shooting and killing a Riverside police officer.

Authorities say Earl Ellis Green murdered 27-year-old police officer Ryan Bonaminio after ambushing him during a foot chase in November 2010.

Green is charged with one count of murder along with two special circumstances. He entered a not guilty plea.

Prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty.
