A 22-year-old Gardena man is wanted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash in Long Beach last month.

Police issued an arrest warrant on Friday for Francisco Javier Saucedo, who authorities say caused the crash back on March 24 on the 1100 block of Stanley Avenue.

Detectives say Saucedo was driving a dark-colored Dodge pickup truck when he lost control and hit several parked vehicles.

A witness tried to flag him down, but police say Saucedo deliberately ran over that witness and dragged his body down the road. That witness, identified by authorities as 27-year-old Yon Chreng of Long Beach, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say Saucedo got out of the truck and ran away on foot.

If you have any information about Saucedo or the deadly accident, you're urged to call Long Beach detectives at (562) 570-7244.
