Kim Kardashian is looking forward to the next stage in her career - becoming a political leader.

The 31-year-old, a popular E! reality star and Los Angeles socialite, says she wants to run for mayor of the California city of Glendale, which is known for its large population of people of Armenian heritage. Her late father was a third generation Armenian-American.

Kardashian, who was voted the most overexposed and among the least trusted celebrities in America, detailed her political plans to her seemingly distracted sister Khloe while filming an episode of one of the famous family's E! shows, "Khloe & Lamar," in Texas, as seen in a clip posted on E! Online.

Kardashian says her friend Noelle is going to help her with her campaign to become the mayor of Glendale, but adds: "It's going to be in, like, five years."

The video was released almost a month before the Kardashians' parent series, "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," returns for a seventh season on May 20.

People of Armenian heritage make up the largest ethnic group in Glendale. A 2000 U.S. Census Bureau report showed that 53,000 out of some 194,973 residents identified themselves as such, marking 27 percent of the population.

Kardashian currently lives in Beverly Hills, located about 15 miles away from Glendale, which is also the home of TV personality Mario Lopez.

The exchange between Kim and Khloe Kardashian goes like this:

Khloe Kardashian is driving Kim Kardashian around. They appear to pass the Perot Museum of Nature & Science, named after former presidential candidate Ross Perot.

KHLOE KARDASHIAN: "The Ross Perot museum.."

KIM KARDASHIAN: "Ross Perot. That guy ran for president."

KHLOE KARDASHIAN: (laughs) "Yeah."

KIM KARDASHIAN: "I decided I'm going to run for the mayor of Glendale."

KHLOE KARDASHIAN: "I'm going to be the mayor of Dallas."

KIM KARDASHIAN: "So, you know, you have to have full residency in Glendale, so I'm trying to-"

KHLOE KARDASHIAN: "This is the Ross Perot Museum."

KIM KARDASHIAN: "So, for real, Noelle's going to head my campaign. But it's going to be in like, five years, for Glendale."

KHLOE KARDASHIAN: (to other drivers) "Excuse me people, you're not letting me OVER!"

KIM KARDASHIAN: "So, I have to buy a house there. You have to have residency there."

KIM KARDASHIAN: "So, I'm going to, um - yeah, park right here - so Noelle and I are, like, looking into all the requirements, and I'm literally going to have a huge- she's going to help me with my campaign."

KHLOE KARDASHIAN: "That's so cool."

KIM KARDASHIAN: "'Cause it's, like, Armenian town."

KHLOE KARDASHIAN: (in mock British accent) "That is like, fascinating, Kimberly, fascinating."

KIM KARDASHIAN: "I'm going to be- But I need to wait a coup- like, five years. You could've parked right there."

UPDATE: Former Glendale mayor Ara Najarian, who serves as a member of the city council, has responded to Kim Kardashian's announcement regarding a possible political run. He has also offered her a job.
