Authorities say the young girl was grabbed from behind while she was walking near Chatsworth Street and Aldea Avenue at about 3:45 p.m. Monday. The suspect began dragging the girl toward some bushes, but he fled when a passerby appeared.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with light brown eyes and a silver capped tooth. He was wearing some kind of mask during the time of the incident.
He's about 6 feet tall and was last seen wearing a dirty long sleeved thermal shirt, jeans and black tennis shoes.
