Michelle Williams was on-hand to support rumored boyfriend Jason Segel at the premiere of his new film, "The Five-Year Engagement."
Though the couple didn't pose for pictures together at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere, they were spotted cuddling together at an after party. People magazine reports that they were affectionate all night, whispering in each other's ears and exchanging the occasional kiss on the cheek.
Segel, 32, co-wrote "The Five-Year Engagement," where he stars opposite Emily Blunt. The movie follows a couple who keep delaying their wedding, but the actor joked that he would theoretically do the opposite.
"My plan is to get her to marry me as quickly as possible before she finds out who I really am," Segel joked to People. "I'll do it romantic, but I'll do it like over a three-day weekend. We'll meet on Friday, have our first date on Saturday, engaged on Sunday and married on Monday."
Segel and Williams sparked dating rumors when they were spotted holding hands together in Brooklyn and Los Angeles. Segel confirmed the relationship on an episode of "Extra" earlier this week, saying, "I think we would just very much like to be happy. That's all I'm going to say about it."
The "How I Met Your Mother" actor was also seen holding his iPhone with photos of Williams taped on the back and the phrase "I love you" reportedly written around the photos.
Segel has been previously linked to his "Freaks and Geeks" co-star Linda Cardellini. Michelle Williams was previously engaged to the late Heath Ledger, who is the father of her 6-year-old daughter Matilda. Ledger died at age 28 in 2008. She was then linked to director Spike Jonze.
Segel is best known for his role as Marshall Eriksen on the comedy "How I Met Your Mother" and for films like "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," "I Love You, Man" and "The Muppets." He recently appeared in "Jeff, Who Lives at Home" and stars in the upcoming film "The Five-Year Engagement" opposite Emily Blunt.
Williams was recently nominated for an Oscar for her role as Marilyn Monroe in the film "My Week With Marilyn." She won a Golden Globe for her work in the film. She has also starred in films like "Blue Valentine," which also earned her an Academy Award nomination, "Brokeback Mountain" and "Shutter Island." She will next star opposite James Franco in "Oz: The Great and Powerful."
