The /*Federal Transit Administration*/ made the demand Monday in a stern letter that refers to the "disturbing findings" of a civil rights investigation into policies and practices at the /*Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority*/.
The FTA says a civil rights investigation has uncovered a failure by MTA to conduct proper analysis and impact of the changes in service to the community that were fair and nondiscriminatory.
Metro replied in a statement that the FTA order makes no new findings, does not document any civil rights violations and acknowledges that the agency has solved some of its previously cited problems.
