John Cusack gets star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES

Cusack's sister, Oscar nominee Joan Cusack, attended the ceremony, as well as actors Jack Black, Billy Bob Thornton, Dan Aykroyd and producer/director Joe Roth.

"I love working with actors, I love being around them, they're such great spirits," Cusack said.

Cusack's career has spanned nearly 30 years and began with 1980s films like "Sixteen Candles" and "Say Anything."

"To the best of my knowledge, I've tried to screw my career up as much as I possibly could, but even with all my best efforts to screw it up, I managed to have lasting friendships, and some of the best friends I've ever met in the business," Cusack said.

Cusack's new movie "The Raven" is out in theaters on Friday.
