Channing Tatum's wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum surprised the actor with a flash mob on his 32nd birthday on Thursday.
The actress organized an all-day bar crawl in New York City, leading "The Vow" actor to Southern Hospitality in the city's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, where the flash mob took place, according to Us Weekly.
"Happy birthday to the love of my life @channingtatum," Dewan-Tatum Tweeted on April 26, before the event. "I think we're gonna have some fun tonight!"
When the couple entered the back room, 20 dancers and friends started a "Dirty Dancing" flash mob to the movie's signature song, "(I've Had) The Time of My Life." A few moments after the mob started dancing, Tatum and his wife joined in.
"Best. Birthday. Gift. EVER," Tatum Tweeted on April 27.
Tatum and Dewan met on the set of the 2006 dance flick, "Step Up." The couple got engaged in September 2008 and were married on July 11, 2009 in Malibu, California. In February, Tatum revealed that he leaves love notes around the house for his wife.
"I see caring for somebody as a creative outlet," Channing told People magazine. "I like drawing little faces and writing little stories and hiding them in places."
Tatum is best known for his roles in "Haywire," "Coach Carter," "Fighting," "Public Enemies," "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" and "Dear John." He began his career as a fashion model, appearing in campaigns for Abercrombie & Fitch, Nautica, Dolce & Gabbana, American Eagle Outfitters, and Emporio Armani.
Tatum appeared in the recent releases "The Vow" and "21 Jump Street." He will next appear in "Magic Mike," where he portrays a male stripper. The film also stars Matt Bomer, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey and Joe Manganiello and is slated for release on June 29, 2012.
