Bakersfield bail bondsmen murder suspect arrested

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.

Stephen Stewart, 26, was taken into custody on Saturday near the Kern County Fairgrounds.

The manhunt for Stewart began on Thursday after Brandon and Zachary Sims were found shot to death at a home in Bakersfield. The brothers worked for their father's bail bond business, Bad Dog Bail Bonds.

Police believe the bondsmen were murdered by Stewart as they tried to apprehend another suspect who had skipped bail on drug charges.
