Scarlett Johansson received another Hollywood honor on May 2 - a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The actress' family and "Avengers" co-stars Jeremy Renner and Clark Gregg were on hand for the ceremony.
The 27-year-old actress received the 2,470th star placed near Madame Tussauds Hollywood. "When I was told I was getting this star, I thought to myself, man, I really made it to the big time," Johansson told the crowd in a speech.
After the ceremony, Johansson told OnTheRedCarpet.com "I have a good spot here. You know, I could've just been shoved down the road in front of one of those random stores but no, I have a really nice spot right here."
"I'm so happy to have my family here. My mom, my grandmom -- they've been my loving support for 20 years," She added. "It's really a milestone to be here today, a very unexpected one."
Johansson first began acting in 1994 in "North." She went on to have roles in films like "The Horse Whisperer," "Match Point," "Ghost World" and "Lost in Translation."
She has been nominated for four Golden Globes and has won a BAFTA award. Johansson also won a Tony award in 2010 for her Broadway debut in "A View from a Bridge" and reports recently surfaced that she may return to the stage opposite Renner in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof."
She is in talks to play Maggie the Cat, according to Variety. The role has been played by some of Hollywood's most famous actresses like Elizabeth Taylor, Kathleen Turner and Ashley Judd.
As for the reports, Johansson says, "Fingers crossed I'll be returning back to The Great White Way. You know, that feels just as much a home to me as this star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame."
She added, "I had that same feeling being up on the Broadway stage that I really had made it, my dream to come true. It's really nice to feel that you have a home on either coast. "
Up next she'll reprise her role of Natasha Romanoff / The Black Widow from "Iron Man 2" in the new "Avengers" film. In the movie, she teams up with Renner as Hawkeye, Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr., and various other Marvel Comics superheroes to try and stop the evil God Loki and his army.
The film hits theaters on May 4 and the trailer can be seen below.
