David Beckham and wife Victoria recently became the latest celebrity couple to be caught on a sports "Kiss Cam."
The soccer star and Spice Girl shared a 1-second smooch at Staples Center in Los Angeles during an NBA game between the Lakers and the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday as the words "Kiss me!" flashed on screen. As they locked lips, spectators cheered and a man in a Lakers jacket kneeled behind them to be included in the video.
The celebrity pair sat courtside next to Beckham's sister, Joanne. The star athlete's mother was also in town and the family celebrated his 37th birthday on Wednesday. His wife, 38, posted on her Twitter page a photo of a present she got him - an autographed Magic Johnson jersey.
"He loved it!!!" she Tweeted.
Couples who don't lock lips when caught on camera during sporting events are often booed by spectators. Teen pop star couple Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were captured on the Lakers' "Kiss Cam" last month during the team's game against the San Antonio Spurs. Gomez told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show that it was "probably the most humiliating thing" that has ever happened to her, adding: "All of a sudden we're both looking up and we come on [the kiss cam screen] and it's like, oh, so awkward. It was so weird. I mean you have to kiss, right?"
