Justin Bieber debuted the highly-anticipated music video for "Boyfriend," the first single off his upcoming album "Believe" on Thursday.
In the music video, the 18-year-old pop star is shown racing hot cars, getting cozy with a model who vaguely resembles his real-life girlfriend Selena Gomez (as well as several other women) and dancing on a roof top.
The "Boyfriend" single was released through The Island Def Jam Music Group on March 26 and is currently No. 4 on iTunes top music downloads list. The video was helmed by the mysterious Director X and Bieber told MTV that he wanted the video to be a bit more mature than his previous endeavors.
"My fans are all growing with me, so I think that it was time to do something a little more mature but also something my fans would love," Bieber told MTV's Sway, after the video's premiere on May 3.
Bieber took to his official Twitter page on April 27 to reveal to his loyal fan the standard and deluxe edition album covers for his upcoming album, "Believe."
The album is set to be released on June 19. Bieber can be seen in identical poses on each cover, with the black and white photo used for the standard cover and the color photo for the deluxe version. It is Bieber's third studio album.
The singer Tweeted that he had a spur of the moment collaboration with mentor Usher that may be added to the new album.
"LONG MEETING FOR #BELIEVE," Bieber Tweeted on April 28. "Then I got inspired. me and big bro @USHERRAYMONDIVjust made some magic happen. #BELIEVE - swaggy!"
He later wrote, "In the studio and @UsherRaymondIV in the booth and yes...HE IS THE TRUTH!"
On April 29, he admitted he had trouble finalizing the track list for the album. "Picking the songs for #BELIEVE is impossible," he wrote.
