OTRC: Anna Paquin: My bisexuality is 'not made up'

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer dropped a hint about the star of season four of 'True Blood' and fan support.

Anna Paquin, who is expecting her first child with husband and "True Blood" co-star Stephen Moyer, says her bisexuality is "not made up" and does not mark a "lack of decision."

The 29-year-old actress was asked about the matter in an interview with Zooey magazine, which was published in its May 2012 issue. Paquin revealed her bisexuality in a public service announcement for the "Give a Damn" campaign for gay rights, which was released in April 2010.

"I'm sure for some people, saying they're bisexual feels less scary than making a statement that they're gay," she told Zooey. "For me, it's not really an issue because I'm someone who believes being bisexual is actually a thing. It's not made up. It's not a lack of decision. It's not being greedy or numerous other ignorant things I've heard at this point. For a bisexual, it's not about gender. That's not the deciding factor for who they're attracted to."

The Canadian actress, who grew up in New Zealand and won an Academy Award at age 11 for "The Piano"(Check out her Oscar speech) married Moyer, a 42-year-old British actor, in August 2010 in a private ceremony in Malibu, California.

The two became engaged in 2009, a year after "True Blood" debuted on HBO. The show returns for its fifth season on June 10. Moyer plays the vampire Bill Compton, the love interest of Paquin's character, Sookie Stackhouse. The sexually-explicit vampire series often features intimate scenes with people of the same gender.

When asked why she picked Moyer as her life partner, Paquin said: "I think when you meet certain people that there comes a point where you can't imagine your life without them. The idea of forever doesn't seem like a particularly long time. I think that's ideally how you want to go into a marriage. You don't want to think, 'Yeah, well, maybe. We'll see.'"

"He's much better at the gushy (expletive) in interviews," she added. "I clam up. I love him and that's all you're going to get."

Paquin's pregnancy was confirmed in April. This is first child for the actress, who is due to give birth in the fall. Moyer has a son and daughter from previous relationships.

The pair met on the set of "True Blood," which debuted in 2008. Paquin plays Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress from Louisiana, while Moyer plays vampire Bill Compton. The series is set to return for its fifth season on June 10.
