Carrie Underwood says she and husband Mike Fisher have no plans to have a baby anytime soon.
The 29-year-old Grammy-winning country star and former "American Idol" winner and the NHL hockey player married almost two years ago after meeting at one of her concerts in his native Canada.
"I'm super busy and he is super busy. We are still newlyweds," Underwood told Us Weekly magazine on Thursday, May 3, backstage at a taping of the FOX singing contest series' latest elimination episode. "I honestly think that if we brought a kid into it would mess things up right now! We're good right now!"
Fisher recently posted a photo of a baby - his newborn niece - on his Twitter page. The 31-year-old hockey player is currently keeping busy competing in the Western Conference semifinals with his team, the Nashville Predators, which takes on the Phoenix Coyotes on Friday, May 4.
Underwood, who won season 4 of "American Idol," is booked to tour during most of the summer and fall to promote her new album, "Blown Away," and is bringing along her two dogs, Ace and Penny. She performed the record's title track on Thursday's episode of "American Idol." Contestant Skylar Laine, another country singer, was eliminated from the competition.
"@SLaineAI11 You're amazing, girl!" Underwood told her in a Twitter message. "Now hurry up and get to Nashville!"
During her performance, Underwood wore a white, flowing Theia Spring 2012 bridal gown with a thigh-high split, a customized chiffon ashoulder strap and a black sash. She completed the look with grey and black Gio Diev Samuri platform sandals from the Fall 2012 collection. Do you like her look?
