Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi might have caught audiences off guard when she announced her pregnancy and engagement to boyfriend Jionni LaValle in March, but the "Jersey Shore" star known for her wild ways says in a new interview that people may be surprised by her maternal side.
"Everyone will be surprised to see a different side of me. I'm loving, caring, sensitive, protective and very maternal, no matter what people might think," Snooki said in an interview featured in V's Americana Issue, according to Us Weekly. The issue comes out on May 10.
The reality star also said, "I can't wait to meet my kid!"
Viewers will soon get to see Polizzi with her "Jersey Shore" co-star Jenni "JWoww" Farley in their reality spin-off called "Snooki & JWoww."
Polizzi also talked to the magazine about her critics and "haters" and said she does not take their criticism to heart. "I am probably the No. 1 most-bullied celebrity," she said. "I really don't go with trends, I don't try to fit in like everyone else does in Hollywood. I just like to be different and I don't care."
MTV announced on March 19 that it has picked up "Jersey Shore" for a sixth season and that all the cast members will return. The new season will film in the show's original location of Seaside Heights, New Jersey.
It is unclear if Polizzi will be living in the house with her fellow cast members. JWoww and Snooki are not the first cast members to get their own spin-off. Co-star Paul "Pauly D" Delvecchio debuted his show, "The Pauly D Project," in late March.
"Snooki & JWoww" premieres on June 21 at 10 p.m. on MTV. Check out the preview for the show below.
