Courtney Love chronicled her meals in a food dairy for the New York Magazine food blog Grub Street published on May 4. The diary reveals Love's favorite foods, odd dieting habits and her hatred of chocolate.
Love is promoting her art exhibition "And She's Not Even Pretty" which will be on view at Fred Torres Collaborations in Manhattan, New York until June 15. It is the first exhibition of Love's drawing and includes 45 of her works.
The diary six days, from April 27 to May 2 and Love has a morning routine with her house manager, named Hershey, who wakes her up every morning with "A hot washcloth for my face, a leg rub, and a plate of toast soldiers."
Love is also fond of Chicken potpie and potato salad from Dean & Deluca. " If I can't afford D.D., I just don't eat," she wrote.
The singer writes that she gets a sugar craving every day around 4 a.m. to 5 a.m. She wrote, "I stopped doing dope in the nineties, but I've had to eat sweets at 4 or 5 a.m. ever since."
"I hate chocolate. [Expletive] chocolate. Kurt hated chocolate, too -- that was one of the things we had in common. Chocolate makes it all too easy," she added. "It's sorta like how I don't love the Ramones. It's a flaw. Or, I love Mr. Springsteen as a person, I'm just not a superfan. Everyone lovvves the Boss, but that's chocolate for me. It's just, like ... no."
Cobain and Love wed in February 1992 and were known for their turbulent and drug-fueled relationship. In August 1994, their daughter was born. Cobain, singer of the grunge band Nirvana, died at age 27 on April 5, 1994. His death was ruled a suicide.
Love has had a complicated relationship with her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, throughout the years and recently Frances Bean said Love should be "banned from Twitter" after posting an awkward rant about Foo Fighter's frontman David Grohl, a former member of Nirvana, on her private Twitter account.
In her food diary, Love also reveals that she weighs 125 and is 5 feet 11 inches. Her "rock weight" was 160, but Love revealed that her desire to get back into acting prevented her from staying that weight.
"I'm a sexy beast at 160, but Gwyneth [Paltrow] is the one who told me that if you want to act, and I do want to get back to acting, 'You are your own advertisement,'" Love explained.
