Sugar decreases brain power, says new study

LOS ANGELES

Researchers say too much sugar decreases your brain power, disrupting learning and causing memory loss.

Studies show that a steady diet of high fructose corn syrup sapped the memories of lab rats, preventing them from performing easy tasks.

The average American consumes about 40 pounds of high fructose corn syrup a year.

On the other hand, adding omega-three fatty acids to your diet can minimize the effect on the brain.
